The gold deposit is located in the western Sayan Mountains in the valley of the Chebalsuk brook; its flow rate does not exceed 0.5 m3/sec. The ore field of the deposit is located between the Zolotorudny and Ugolny keys. Administratively Kirov deposit is located in the territory of Tashtyp district of the Republic of Khakassia, 98 km south of the district centre of Tashtyp village and 70 km south-west of Abaza town
